Young Falconer Experience

A half day experience, where children aged 12-15 years old can see, and participate in, some of the duties of a Trust falconer.

Become a young falconer for the day at the Trust and join us for a three hour session. Follow the typical pattern of a falconer’s day, including: • looking after a bird section. • weighing and feeding birds. • training young birds. • handling and flying a variety of bird species. • trying your hand at swinging a lure. • learning how to track a radio transmitter. • present your own flying display. This is a fun and educational day for children to learn about birds of prey and the work of the Trust. Participants must be aged 12-15 years. This experience is held during the school holidays and weekends, throughout the year, subject to availability. Soft drinks are included. This experience can be purchased as a gift voucher that is valid for 12 months. Available dates will be included with your voucher
